Kristin Sabia joins DLC as Senior Vice President of Accounting

Elmsford, NY – DLC, one of the country’s largest owners and operators of retail real estate, is pleased to announce Kristin Sabia has joined the company’s leadership team as Senior Vice President of Accounting. In her new role, Sabia will be responsible first and foremost for managing and leading our accounting team, overall oversight of corporate and property accounting, and financial reporting for our portfolio of properties.

With nearly 18 years of extensive experience in accounting and a specialization in the real estate industry, Sabia brings a wealth of expertise to her new position. Prior to joining DLC, she served as the Chief Accounting Officer of a publicly traded partnership, where she successfully managed various functions, including internal controls, accounting, tax, financial reporting, treasury, and information technology.

Sabia has held several leadership roles – including Chief Accounting Officer, Controller, and Assistant Controller, at two publicly registered non-traded global REITs sponsored by W.P. Carey Inc. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in overseeing the internal controls, accounting, and financial reporting for both operational activities and complex transactions.

Ms. Sabia began her career at Ernst & Young LLP, where she worked in the real estate assurance practice. She is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and holds a B.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York at Albany.

“We are excited to welcome Kristin Sabia to our leadership team as the Senior Vice President of Accounting,” said Basil Donnelly, Chief Legal and Business Intelligence Officer of DLC. “Her incredible background, extensive experience, and deep knowledge of the real estate industry will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen and grow DLC. We are confident that her strategic insights will further enhance our operational efficiency and contribute to our long-term success.”

“I am honored to join DLC’s leadership team and to have the opportunity to work for a prominent, best-in-class retail owner and operator,” Sabia said. “The people-first culture at DLC fosters a positive work experience, which is why DLC is consistently rated as a Best Place to Work. Every single person plays a critical role in driving the business forward.  I’m excited to lead and mentor such a youthful, ambitious, and driven group of team members who are all looking to contribute to DLC’s growth and success. We are a collaborative team across all departments and it’s an exciting time to be a part of carrying out our strategic vision. “
