Team DLC tackles Slate Bowl XVI

Team DLC competes at Slate Bowl XVI

On June 21st, thirteen DLCers from our accounting, asset management, and leasing teams headed north to Toronto to compete in the 16th Slate Bowl hosted by Slate Asset Management. The event was founded in memory of Kevin Heiss, a partner and friend of Slate from Largo Capital who passed away unexpectedly. It has grown to include 32 teams of Slate partners, vendors, and outside companies they work with. The teams can get quite competitive in the quest to win the coveted Kevin Heiss trophy!

Slate is an important joint venture partner of DLC, and attending this event allows our cross-departmental team who work with Slate the ability to strengthen that relationship corporately and individually,” said David Horwitz, DLC’s Vice President of Leasing – Development and Training. “It’s a great event.”

Team DLC took on opponents from TD Securities and Largo.

The event concludes with a bbq and after-party where everyone can network, eat and relax. With the support of Slate’s industry friends, partners, and advisors, over $70K was raised for three charitable organizations – New Haven Learning Centre, Second Harvest, and Habitat for Humanity Canada.

“We’re already excited for next year!”
