At DLC, Take Your Child to Work Day is a team favorite tradition. It’s a day filled with excitement, learning, and bonding. This year, 25 new teammates, aged between 2 and 12, joined their parents or relatives in the office for a day of exploration and fun.
The day kicked off deliciously with a hearty breakfast of homemade pancakes and waffles, complete with all the mouthwatering toppings imaginable. Energized and ready for adventure, our young colleagues were welcomed by DLC’s CEO and founder, Adam Ifshin. Among the new recruits was Ifshin’s own grandson, JJ, whose mother, Anya Wolf, serves as Senior Vice President of Transactions—a truly special moment for the DLC family.
“It’s take your child to work day!” Ifshin said welcoming the crowd. “Actually, we have someone here who was the first child to come to take your child to work day, my daughter Anya, JJ’s mom, who came to work with me 27 years ago! We’ve grown a lot since then. And today, you’re going to learn a lot about how we grow.”
The young recruits wasted no time diving into the day’s activities, locating all of DLC’s open-air shopping centers on a map of the United States—a task they tackled with enthusiasm and precision. As a reward for their hard work, they were treated to a mesmerizing magic show.
And what better way to cap off a day of accomplishments than with ice cream sundaes, enjoyed by all as a sweet reminder of the true teamwork shared at DLC. Take Your Child to Work Day may only come once a year, but the memories made will last a lifetime at DLC.
