Welcome to Fort Myers, Sprouts!
Sprouts Farmers Market opened on Friday, July 21st at College Plaza in Fort Myers. The grocery retailer has been in the news lately for their plans to open 10 new locations this summer.
“We are incredibly excited to have Sprouts Farmers Market here in Lee County,” said Cecil Pendergrass, Lee County Commissioner via a Sprouts news release. “In addition to providing fresh, healthy, and specialty foods to our residents, Sprouts also brings hundreds of jobs to our area, playing a vital role in Lee County’s vitality and resiliency as we continue to grow and thrive in the business community.”
Adding Sprouts to the tenant mix at College Park is a milestone for the shopping center.
“The opening of Sprouts is a definite highlight for College Plaza. For our construction, leasing, and property management teams as well as for the team at Sprouts, this is a very exciting day. We look forward to Sprouts’ success at this location.
We are under way with a multi-million dollar façade renovation at College Plaza which has already been increasing the desirability for national and local retailers of all types. Open-air retail is the hottest asset class in commercial real estate right now and College Plaza will draw the stores and services to become the retail destination this community needs.”
Dozens of customers were lining up for the 7 a.m. opening of the store to take advantage of special promotions and sales.
